Me: “Hi, I’m Megan, I’ll be your waitress tonight.”
Customer: “Well, hi, I’m Joe and I’ll be your customer for tonight”
Oh, the laughs that were had. ._.

I like it when the waitress/waiter says, “Hello I am Joe and I’ll be taking care of you.” I usually reply with a question:”For the rest of my life?” That usually gets a laugh out of them.
Damn, is that really awful? My dad does that – but he honestly means it, and has been a server and tips like a boss. It always felt weird to him that he should know YOUR first name! but he remains just the custy. Yes, it’s lame. But meant well!
